In Watersnake Blues, Linda's poetry, joined by jazz, blues, Native American and world music, magic trances the listener on a hypnotic journey through blues landscapes both ancient and modern.
In her "Rattlesnake Blues" and "Watersnake Blues" cuts, humor, sensuality and totemic symbols combine to blow the blues wide open.
"Black Ice", "Plastic Tablecloth Blues", and "Road Kill" rocket the blues right into the 21st century.
And "Joy in the Morning" and "Sideways Rain Blues" lay out a defiant, uplifting, and inspirational take on the earthy world of the blues.
This CD comes packaged in a FREE Watersnake Blues Booklet. Linda's uniquely expressive delivery floats over the smokey and sensual music making Watersnake Blues a album that is built up from the ground and goes the distance for your repeated listening pleasure.

Read the words, listen to her voice, and feel the blues.

I like Watersnake Blues. It's a neat package, a triple helix: you can read the words, listen to Linda's voice, accompanied by the blues (and other musical forms). There's something to Linda's nous, alive through the controlled emotion of her voice, against the rhythm of the music that tells of a Kern County girl, ever optimistic, despite exposure to the grime of humanity through her world travels and career, that strengthens my soul. Well worth the time!
