"Robert Lindquist was born and raised in the Albany, New York. He has ventured out, not only as prominent jazz musician in his area but in other states. He has performed with many different groups and can be found performing in many styles of music including, rock, funk, fusion, ECM-Jazz, classical, etc. Robert has a very unique style of playing and writting, with hints of his influences-Bill Evans, Wynton Kelly, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, and Keith Jarrett to name a few. Even though, his predecessors are noticable in his playing and writting, in many ways Rob's tunes and style are very much his. This CD is Rob's debut, all original work culminating with highly interesting, energetic and even heartfelt moments. Rob is joined here with the top players from Albany,NY and NY,NY. I would encourage anyone who loves traditional- modern -Jazz Piano (with a twist) and general solid playing to check this out. "

"...Robert Lindquist has all the attributes that go into making music that is pleasing to the senses and with enough depth to make the experience quite a positive one.... Lindquist has an ear for melody, but he also instils a tensility and sinew that make the tunes pliant and primed for improvisation."

This is a great sounding Album sonically and musically, i find myself listening to it alot. Being a pianist myself I found his sense of swing really interesting, almost bebop but modern at the same time. His tunes consist of fairly simple and catchy melodies, but the harmonic ideas are quite advanced and cleverly weaved together. Great work Rob!
