"Old Roads...New Paths" is primarily based out of traditional jazz roots, with new arrangements and reharmonizations on classic standards; a mix of old songs done in a new way. This is the second solo album by Rob, a return for him to the "staples" of jazz- the standards- and here he is in good hands with a swinging rhythm section of John Menegon(bass) and Jeff Dowd(drums); the piano trio in its true form.
