Originally from Cleveland, Lindsay Bloom began her musical career at the ripe age of 4, as her older brother made her memorize the rap stylings of DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. It wasn't long until Lindsay was up on stage and local store countertops performing her newly learned rap routines sporting a leather jacket and dark shades. As she discovered her love of performing, Lindsay got involved in the local theatre community and was in countless productions throughout the city. When her teenage years approached, it looked like she’d never make it as a rap star, and Lindsay picked up the guitar. Almost immediately, she put her thoughts and feelings in the form of songs and since then has filled up notebooks of catchy tunes inspired by real-life situations and experiences. Lindsay started performing at area coffee-houses and bars and soon began to gather attention from local producers and record labels. Before graduating High School, she was signed with an independent label and started working with producers from New York to Chicago.
In 2000, she moved to New York City to pursue her interest in acting and attended the New York School for Film and Television for an intensive training program. After a couple years of living in nyc, and appearances in television shows including Saturday Night Live, Lindsay couldn’t escape her passion to sing. During the last couple years, Lindsay has been writing songs and performing in multiple cities including the PRIDE festival. She recently went to work to record her first album Book of My Mind. Her story-like songs and unforgettable melodies leave you captivated, revealing Lindsay’s true essence in every heartfelt lyric.

author: Mark Hastings
I absolutely love Lindsay Bloom's music! The first time I heard 'What About Me' I was truly entranced by her incredible voice! Lindsay has an amazing voice- one that should be heard the world over! I think that she will one day be mentioned in the same breath as terrific musicians such as Alanis Morrisette and KT Tunstall!
'Book of my mind' is a great album!
'What About Me' is probably my favorite song of the album- Lindsay's guitar playing is second to none! Her voice carries such resonance and energy; in my opinion, Lindsay has a distinct sound that is unlike that of any other that I myself have ever heard- I just love her voice!
'Try Me Out' I absolutely adore! Lindsay's unique and resonant voice, as well as the terrific guitar accompaniment is top-notch! Lyrically exquisite, as are all of Lindsay's songs.
'Good For Me' has a great sound to it! I love the piano accompaniment! Lindsay's adorable voice carries her incredibly-beautiful well-written lyrics directly into the listener's subconscious which remain there long after first hearing them!
'Another Lifetime' is an absolutely beautiful guitar and lyrical mesh of perfection; sung by an incredible musician, whom their is, in my opinion, no equal!
'Yours' is an amazing song! I love that the title of the album 'Book Of My Mind' is sung by Lindsay- I smiled when I heard that! Lindsay's voice is just staggering! Her talent as both a singer/song-writer/musician really comes out in 'Yours'.
'Truth', from the very beginning, is sung so beautifully by Lindsay! Her voice is so special that you just want to hear it over and over! 'Truth' is an incredible song, sung and played so vibrantly- it is an incredible song that entrances you without your knowledge.
'Worth It' is composed of beautiful lyrics sung from the heart of this amazing musician! Sung exquisitely, Lindsay's voice is the epitome of musical harmony!
'Last Goodbye' is a great lyrically-interesting song! It is sung incredibly by Lindsay! Lindsay's voice makes you imagine, as you hear her voice, the story that is being sung. A beautiful song!
'Hate You' is a great song! Lindsay's voice and guitar work is the source of an intense listening extravaganza! I love the unique sound Lindsay produces!
'Happy' is beautiful! Lindsay's unique sound is exceptional! Lindsay's voice I could talk about for day's! She is an incredibly vocally/musically extraordinarily-blessed person!
Lindsay's song's are some of the best I have ever heard! 'Book Of My Mind' is the best album I have ever bought! From the album cover; featuring a 'pop-art' picture of the beautiful Lindsay Bloom, to the staggering talent that can be heard within! Inside the sleeve is a gorgeous picture of Lindsay, as well as the song lyrics to all of her fantastic songs- as well as alterations that Lindsay made to the songs! That in itself is worth the price of admission!
I love Lindsay's voice! I love the second-to-none musically-rich resonance of her music! I love 'Book Of My Mind', and I think, if you're reading this, that you will also.

Well-placed arrangement of tracks on album
author: Evan
"What About Me" conveys a calm anger that makes it perfectly suited to be the starting track. "Hate You" and "Happy," do not only bring the album to a satisfying conclusion but either song could also be used to close a live show.
