Lindsay Jane grew up in a strict Christian household where listening to "popular" music was forbidden.
One day, Lindsay Jane stumbled across a beer stained radio, smuggled it into her house, and from beneath her pillow Berlin's "Take my Breath Away" was Lindsay Jane's first taste of pop music.
Lindsay grew up listening to show tunes, the Beatles as well as Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. Being thrust into late 80's pop-culture put Lindsay behind the peers of her generation and the imprint that her musical upbringing had on Lindsay, only made her songwriting that much different from the rest of the pack.
Today, Lindsay Jane is touring Canada and the US, spreading her brand of infectious, soul gripping music to folk festivals, folk clubs and concert halls and receiving standing ovations wherever she sings.
