Link Pins - The new compilation from Balanced Records features 15 stunning remixes and collaborations from the Balanced Records roster along with many producers new to the label.

Fascade@137db’s Character of the Moment receives a resonant Sinewave treatment and is driven through a new scene from the 2005 album of the same name. Fascade also dissects layers of haunting melody by famed composer Angelo Badalamenti (Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet soundtracks) to rework a piece from the L’adversaire score. Link Pins also features the newest act on the label - Leaf System, a collaboration between Rise Ashen, Kasm and The Seed Organization who forge a new alliance showcasing the depth of Canadian dub with 2 cuts: Rocket Dub and Fisherman’s Dub. The Seed Organization teams up with Chronic Sonata to give us Whirlwind Dub, an upbeat, driving reggae rocker. Kasm & Equanim, who originally worked together on the label’s first release, reunite after 6 years apart and show they still keep good form with the punchy downtempo track Sky Hook. The label’s veteran turntablist - DJ Brace teams up with Microthol’s Soulglo (Trust Records, Vienna), for a fusion of lightning fast cuts and electro elements. The IDM wizards, Billy Rockwell & Sohcahtoa, also reunite with James Woods News @ 6, a richly textured track of glitch hop and ethereal melodies. Solidaze keeps up his electro soul vibes on the comp, this time adding the vocal splendour of The Art Party in Thoughts Return to You. Another Viennese import - Cay Taylan (Couch Records) recapitulates The Seed Organization’s much acclaimed Point of Focus adding some eastern rhythms and arrangements. You won’t want to miss out on an order of Chicken Soup from Rise Ashen & Blissom, who contribute a gorgeous afrobeat number featuring Jesse Matthews on vocals, talking drum, shekere and balafon. Kasm rehashes a classic Rise Ashen track from his Earth Dragon release, injecting a broken beat mixture into Fight to Hang On. Ashen also interprets Curve Seven from Solidaze's Pleasure from Precision release with an epic reworking of live percussion which is sure to become a danceable headnodder. Parisian Mod X treats Solidaze's Could Be to a tasty natural rhythm electro funk shaker. Finally, Gavin Froome (off the Nordic Trax imprint) takes a stab at the Solidaze track Anti-Animosity adding his distinct house architecture and synth washes while keeping sketches of Sarah Michaelson's original vocals.
