ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Linny was born in Amsterdam, Holland, where she was brought up by her musician father and schoolteacher mother. She was surrounded by the very elements that would prove to be the basis to her chosen career. She was continuously exposed to the sounds that would later inform her own innate sense of rhythm and timing. She learnt the theory of music in these years and her talents were honed further in youth orchestra and in playing violin. These early influences so deeply imbedded, led to her educational development in becoming a professional music teacher and singer.

Since signing with Green Pepper Junction, Linny\'s career has leapt forward. She gained much radio and media attention with the promotional single of \'Games Lovers Play\' which was mixed into different genres of musical taste such as House, Garage and R\'n\'B to name a few. It became a huge success in clubs throughout the UK, Eire and Spain.

For many years Linny has performed all over Europe performing in theatre shows as well as lead vocalist in several bands. She was a backing vocalist in the Henk Westbroek Band for one season -where she gained the experience and stamina for a life in her chosen area. Her range and style is an eclectic mix performing as an actress/singer with the Impro Comedy Group \'Op Sterk Water to being the lead singer in a close harmony swing orchestra \'Swing \'n Easy\' performing swing and jazz songs. To add her talents she also composes her own songs with her brother, and possesses a rigorous and disciplined approach to everything she focuses on.

The single jumped straight into the highly regarded \'Music Week Top 100 pop Charts\' at number 30. More success followed as the single went to number 2 in the DJ\'s \'Trax Charts\', with only Donna Summer keeping Linny off the number 1 slot, and further attention ensued as she was featured in \'Top of the Pops\' magazine and had a full page spread in the popular teenage magazine \'Massive\'! Add to all of this her extensive interviews on radio shows as an \'A\' list guest of many stations throughout the UK over the past couple of years and it becomes clear that Linny is making an impact wherever she goes and gaining a growing fan base into the mix!
