Traveling the same road as many great artists before him, the self-styled Hoochie Man spent a number of years playing small bars and clubs on Chicago's south side before making a name for himself on the downtown Chicago Blues scene around 1997.
Having recently played in Europe, Canada, and New York, he has been bitten by the travel bug, and plans to tour again in the future. Some day, he would like to return to Memphis where he taught himself how to play his beloved Gibson guitar. Great Chicago Blues entertainer
author: Wade Norton
Who is Linsey Alexander? I asked the same thing a few weeks ago. My wife and I recently moved from the Pacific Northwest (USA) to Chicago. Anxious to explore the local Chicago Blues Clubs we ventured out. Looking at the websites we weren't able to identify the artists as most are reknown to the locals, but those of us from the NW were unaware.
Linsey Alexander and the LABB were positioned for the second set (not headliners, you got to be kidding). and Wow what a show! Linsey is an incredible player & singer, but even more, he's a great entertainer. He spent much of the night wondering throughout the club (the wonder's of wireless guitars) while not missing a beat.
Needless to say, the following morning I ordered my Linsey CD from CD Baby and have been playing it over and over since.
The CD is great, but it can't match the real thing, so after you buy the cd for a taste, come to Chicago and we'll join you downtown in the blues clubs.
