I was born and grew up and first picked up the guitar in Memphis, Tennessee. Being 17 years old I packed up and left Memphis not knowing whether Chicago will accept me and what my future holds for me. During more than 30 years of performing, I have been given people something to look at, to be part of the show, to have a good time. Today I give thanks to God for giving me the strength to make this CD.
This is my third CD that I made. My first CD “I’m tired” had only four songs on it, three of which are included here. My other CD “Someone’s cooking in my Kitchen” was produced 2 years ago and still is up and rolling. I also have two live blues CDs.
This CD has the same rhythm as “Someone’s cooking in my Kitchen”. It combines both, blues you can dance to or blues you can sit down and listen to. None of the songs were written or exist on paper. They came to me and were created while being on stage. All of the songs on this CD are written by me, they are the documentary of me, things that I have experienced or currently going through. A CD explains you better than you can explain yourself to somebody who doesn’t know you.

Walkin Talkin Bluesman
author: Will
I had the pleasure of seeing Linsey Alexander et al at Chicago's Kingston Mines Blues Club last night. While there were several performers, without question Linsey was the showstopper. He is the absolute epitome of a down-home bluesman--from his raunchy swagger, to his Memphis-bred southern drawl, to his on the guitar (which ranged from understated to fiery). His show was interactive and engaging and exactly what I was looking for. I had a great time, and am sure I will enjoy the "My Days Are So Long" album (which I bought from him personally at the club).

My Days Are So Long
author: Norm Ringel
November 2007 I fulfilled a dream I've had for a long time. The dream was to go to Chicago and find the quintessential Blues bar. I walked into B.L.U.E.S. around midnight. It is a small neighborhood bar with a $4.00 cover charge that night. It was the drummer's birthday and all sorts of folks were drinking, eating and going up onto the stage.
The highlight for me was LINSEY ALEXANDER. Once on stage he said "This is how I play the blues" and proceeded to howl like Howling Wolf while playing the blues on his guitar. Linsey is the quintessential blues musician. I purchased his latest CD (My Days Are So Long) which is excellent. The only thing missing is the 'howling' he did the night I was at B.L.U.E.S. Hopefully he will add it to the next CD.
