Swimming Upstream is a Rock Album!
It has songs about addiction, failed love, the evil of religion and politics of fear - it also has songs about love and fatherhood as well as a couple of songs about stuff I like (Basketball and Rock 'n Roll, Hey my Friend, No Worries)
The first half of the record is country rock oriented - the second half is more blues/jazz oriented with a closing acoustic duet (guitar, banjo, male female vox)
SU is also a cranking guitar CD with a couple of cool instrumentals (Swimming Upstream and Bollywood Bop).
SU was produced by John Williams' son, Mark Towner Williams, who is my friend, partner and bad ass drummer and multi-instrumentalist.
There are guest appearances by Trace Wiren on Vocals and Banjo and Steve Flygare on Lead Guitar (Swimming Upstream and Basketball and Rock n Roll).
I hope you enjoy!!!
