ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Lions: Around and Around...takes the listener through a complete cycle of seven songs, conceptually unfolding the natural process of winter to spring, death to life. Mark Guinn's gripping tenor vocals (reminiscent of Thom Yorke), lead the cycle of songs with courage and depth of emotion. The instrumentation and composition of the album are well crafted, with beautiful contrasts in dimension, feel, and color. A solid foundation is built with the acoustic guitar, drums, piano, and bass, but the additional sounds of the accordian, bells, and thick harmony call our hearts back to an almost forgotten land of the gypsy wanderer and mysterious carnivals.
