San Diego based Liquid Blue is a unique band with a unique sound. Featuring the BlueGirls trio, the seven-member act has performed in more than 100 countries (a world-record). They were the first American act to be signed by a Chinese record company and have developed a large fan base in Asia. The band and its well-traveled members are very active on social issues. The group operates Liquid Blue Radio, a "socially conscious" internet radio station on Live365 and well as hosting a monthly educational series featuring documentary movies and discussions since 2005.

I look forward to their next album. I saw them entertaining the troops overseas and that show was also spectacular. I salute Nikki Nova and the entire group. This is a must get CD.

    Supernova is an incredible assimilation of genres including alternative pop, dance, exotic rock and world tones galore. Their debut CD is expertly produced by David DeVore and mixed by Joe Chiccarelli. Liquid Blue paints a colorful canvas that starts with a rock base coat and builds on a blend of ancient and modern eastern elements. The music is up-tempo with a diversity of textures that upon first listen is light, yet their lyrics on all fourteen-tracks are deep and provocative. Liquid Blue stirs social conscience with songs about the environment, politics and the spiritual realm. Their visual lyrics paint dark pictures of poverty and Earth's devastation, yet they are blended with hopeful songs such as 'Rhythm of Love' and 'So Close To Heaven'. The CD grabs you with the first song 'Kashmir' with its danceable beat flavored with Middle Eastern tones. The girl's popish harmonizing vocals blend perfectly as they express their concern for people suffering. The song is a juxtapose of light and darkness, a pattern found in many of Liquid Blue's mixes. 'Supernova', the title track, has a catchy rhythm and instrumentation with super vocals but listen closely as the song is ominous with pictures of our damaged Earth. 'Arms of Love' is a prayer for spiritual enlightenment sung over up-beat, techno tones with world flare. Liquid Blue is winning awards and praise for their magical merge of styles and their first release Supernova is explosive!

    Intros are a little long, but I'd know that voice anywhere. Brooke Benson's vocals are KILLER+ on "Real", "Show Me Love", and "Give Me Back My Heart". And she's a hottie ... why isn't her picture on the album???

    San Diego to the world. From their first demos recorded in my tiny studio, this group and their music was always predetermined to be special. I would have loved to have them work with me again and again, but one always has to let go. As the child becomes a man, as the caterpillar morphs into an exquisite butterfly, this group of especially talented folks were destined to break the bonds as an exciting local phenom and emerge as superb musicians and songwriters and in the process, gain the world as their audience. That is how it should be. This debut album is singular in that it defines a fresh, new genre. You have not heard anything like it, but hear it you must.     Like Johnny B., I also heard Liquid-Blue on a cruise. In fact, I am one of the "old folks" that he referred to, but even we (old folks) appreciate fantasic music. Scott and his group really have their act together, and they are going to be very famous; I love them all! I am drummer Jordan Medina's biggest and oldest fan. L-B REALLY rocks!
