"Cornelio's music cuts through the big-city fog like an errant streak of sunlight" says the Austin American- Statesman. Although she was born and raised in New England and has lived in New York City for over twelve years, Cornelio has always had a bit of twang in her music. Her Yankee sensibilities come though in her edgy and sometimes bittersweet reflections on love and its players. Performing Songwriter Magazine has compared her to Lucinda Williams, Rosanne Cash and Kim Richey, while others have noted hints of the Beatles in Billy Masters' guitars and Ben Wittman's production. strait forward and unpretensious
author: ken lawrencelisa's voice is kind of like kim richey meets kathlene edwards soft beautiful and with out decoratation. what you hear is what you get and boy did i like what my blind man ears heard. visited her site and e-mailed her and she apreciated the kim richey references and said she loved her stuff. you'll love lisa with just a quick listen so grab this one now y'all.

A pristine, unadorned sound, she never over extends her instrument. This release showcases her mastery of country pop, rock and folk. "Enough" has a stinging chorus, "Repairs" is a mid-thities reality check, "Bury This One" a nasty rocker, Dave Hamberger adds pretty dobro on "Lost" while Russell Farhat provides haunting violin on "My Mother Never Told Me". These are romantic, bittersweet, angry relationship songs.
Takes you for a great ride

A couple of the songs sound like they have the same basic melody behind them, but each one is made distinct by the mood it evokes and the message it carries. There's raw emotion in "Repairs" and "Bury This One," pensive thoughtfulness in "When She Comes Down," and a nice final uplift in "Better Off."
