notes

Lisa Gatewood never planned on being a singer/songwriter. She was more likely to end up a ballerina or an astronaut (or some classy combination of the two). But at 25 she finds herself knee deep in a very exciting music community.

I'VE READ SALINGER is Lisa's debut album and features the talents of Dr. Martin Jack Rosenblum, Grady Owens, Heidi Spencer, Matt Hendricks, Bill Curtis, Erik Radloff, Victor DeLorenzo and Tony Scholl, who also produced the album.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Lisa is a two-time nominee for Best Female Vocalist & Best Acoustic musician (voted for by the readers of The Shepherd Express). She continues to reside on the lower eastside and has a crush on approximately 8 men.

I've been a fan of Lisa ever since I saw her at her first show at our local coffee shop/venue Paradigm a while back. Her Cd rocks my striped little socks and has not left my CD player since I got it. The lyrics are wonderful and the music is inspiring and i just love it completely. Especially track 5, Brand New Everything. love love love it.

A must-have album for your 2007 collection. It's a good thing Lisa Gatewood didn't become an astronaut because than who would've given us "The Black Coat Song" or "I've Read Salinger". It's the perfect CD to put in and leave on...also, chicks dig it.

The entire album is a poignant portrayal of real life circumstances. If I could have only one CD this would be it. Exceptionally well done!
