Album Notes

Being born and raised in New England it is fitting that Lisa Simpson's debut album, Taken Lightly, was recorded in the backwoods of Vermont in the middle of winter. In the tradition of the 20th century singer/songwriter, Simpson bursts her songs forth with a strength and agility combined with a dark, pensive quality.

This collection of songs is an amalgamation of Simpson's early songwriting.

Ms. Simpson finished a second album, Steeping Orion, while pursuing her masters degree in music history in the northwest. You can find Steeping Orion here as well.
