Album Notes

A "female James Taylor" of our times. Lisa’s clear, rifting voice helps lift your heart as she sings about her journeys and relationships, freedom, and change. Entwined in the rhythms are unexpected perfectly delivered sax, mandolin, violin, harmonica and slide amidst a warm stand up bass and smooth acoustic leads. Her soulful voice is kindling to a vibrant fire to rejuvenate the spirit. Following in the footsteps of emerging independent artists like Feist, the music on Ain't The Same will touch your deepest emotions, causing you to laugh, cry, dance and sing.

Ain't The Same, Lisa Winter
author: Steven Budlong
I first heard Lisa in her youth, somewhere near the OZ homestead. I was reintroduced to her music by sheer happenstance and found her to have matured into a contender for my favorite female vocalist... namely, Emmylou Harris. Lisa's artistry and lyrics are uniquely her own, fresh and full of life and spiritual grace. Her writing is holy, clear and refreshing. My highest recommendation. Steven C.
