Album Notes

Lise Nikkole Moore, a young aspiring performer, had a dream to perform music since a young age. She started playing piano by ear at the age of 5 and getting involved in music formally in elementary school. By the age of 7, Lise began studying classical piano. All through middle school and high school, she participated in numerous A cappella, Jazz, and Chamber Choirs, where she had many solo opportunities.
Lise attended Western Oregon University after high school and continued her musical training, as well as studying dance and theatre. It was in college that she really started to create her own songs. Due to a positive response from her peers at the end of her senior year in college to one of her first originals called "Tell Me Why", Lise decided to write a whole album based largely on life experiences and much self reflection.
In 2001, the long-awaited album was finished and Lise decided to move to Seattle to promote her self-released CD by being in a duo with a long time musician friend, Jamison Johnson. Together they performed at various clubs and coffee shops around the area. Her CD even received great reviews by the Tablet Newspaper in March of 2002 and CoolGrrrls Magazine in February of 2004.
In the present, Lise continues to write new material and collaborate with a variety of local musicians. She hopes to find some steady gigs within the near future and quit her day job, in order to do music full-time. Also, at some point, Lise hopes to do another solo album amidst working with other talented musicians and become a critically acclaimed success. It is Lise's lifetime goal to bring her music to the masses, inspire and touch people through music, and to help as many people as she can who are in need of food, medical supplies and treatment, shelter, etc., with much of the profit she makes from her music.

This girls' voice is powerfully phenomenal. Second to no one! I worked with her for just over a year before I had to move out of town. She's also a wonderfully playful spirit who deserves to get whatever chance someone can give her to reach the world with her beautiful music.

The sounds of crashing waves emanate from Lise Nikkole, who could be the next Sarah McLaughlan. Like a mermaid emerging from the ocean, she entices sea slugs with her sexy lyrics. Imagine wallowing with your lover, hand in hand in the ebb tide residue among gelatinous algae. Suddenly you bear down in agony as a nefarious stingray eel attacks your feet. Blistering bubbling blisters burst with oozing hot ulceration like Lise's yearning, burning ballads-Allele Pollman

Melodic Music. Strong feminine vocals. Either of these qualities could stand on their own to produce a rock solid cd. Put them together and you've got something dynamic. Lise Nikkole is someone truly dynamic. Her music is not harsh or abrasive. It is not in your face. It is almost timid. It is like a shy and beautiful person that you are drawn to out of curiosity and mystery. I was drawn to Lise Nikkole's music and was pleasantly rewarded. She is good without being overly commercial. Admirable without needing recognition. Recognition is what she deserves. This cd is great. Very soothing and mellow. Katie Kiedyk music editor,CoolGrrrls Magazine
