Album Notes

The Concept for The Littleague was born out of necessity for a different kind of children\'s music. Created by two teachers working at a Four Star, Qualistar rated, non-profit school for at-risk children, Neil McIntyre and Larry Georgeson understand that Hiphop music speaks to many children. Unfortunately, children\'s Hiphop music is in limited supply and consequently children turn to mainstream adult music. Singing lyrics from songs that are inappropriate for their age, they explore questions and concepts far beyond their years. While the instrumentals and beats from many Hiphop songs are inspiring to children, many of the lyrics are not appropriate. Even edited music is not created with a child\'s social and emotional needs in mind. Neil and Larry find that many educators and parents are searching for imaginative and inspired music for their children (maybe even music they themselves will enjoy). The Littleague strikes a balance between the music children crave and what adults consider appropriate.
