Album Notes

There is a Little Man in Chicago who emits all of soul to all who are near him.Through music and being, Chris Perricelli has inspired many to look within and seek a better self. Shining with soul power~~his body, guitar, voice, and amplifier are the tools of his soul projection. On or off stage he makes you feel good. Perricelli started playing the North Shore bar scene of his native Massachusetts when he was 17. His intense dedication to his art is clearly evident at live shows. His friendly voice merges with the unique sound and style of his guitar playing to create a vibrant experience.
Since 1995, Little Man has been focusing on the live experience, providing great entertaining in the Chicago and Mid-western circuit. They give you something to move to, and to feel. Chris'guitar experience includes strong influences of the late 60's and early 70's rock & Rroll that builds into a sound that is both classic and modern, and yet always experimental.
With solid bass grooves by Derek Brovold, and heavy drum phrases from Dave Cottini, Chris has got Little Man playing an original style of rock & roll that is rare in this day and age.

REVIEWS

These guys do it better than most.
author: Delusions Of Adequacy
“I'm guessing that the members of Chicago's Little Man grew up on equal parts Bob Dylan, The Who, The Beatles, and perhaps a little Van Morrison for good measure. Combine all that with a more modern, poppy style, and you get a sense of Little Man's first full-length album (Core Of Discovery)…These musicians are very talented, and their ability to take their favorite music from the 70s and bring it into a more modern rock sound with often poppy beats is pretty impressive…These guys are probably doing it better than most. I'm excited by this release… Surely, this would be a fun band to see live.”

People positive love fest.
author: Splendid E-zine
“Chicago trio Little Man plays straight-forward bar rock, and they play it well. By bar rock, I mean the type of rock and roll that college town bar owners salivate over. This is music that will make the girls come and dance and the boys smile and drink pitchers of beer. With instantly accessible melodies and a wide-open sound, Little Man invites listeners in to their people-positive love-fest. Despite a horn line in "Pleased to Meet You" that inexplicably reminds me of "Time Warp" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, there are very few missteps here. Granted, the band isn't attempting to make major leaps in the definition of music, but they do what they do quite well.

Little Man's "Core of Discovery" is hard to put away, like a great book you just can't put down, or one that you read over and over. The music presented here is truly infectious. I recommend it highly, and I can't wait to hear more!
