Album Notes

If you dig doo-wop, you're gonna enjoy "Doo-Woppin' In Birdland".

"Doo-Woppin' in Birdland" brings to lovers of doo-wop a diverse collection of doo-wop delights . If you enjoy the street corner harmonies of the 1950's, you'll feel right at home here. The mix covers some well known tunes and some more obscure doo-wops. Two previously unreleased Little Phineas originals, "Love Of A Lifetime" and "Mr. Phineas" are also included.

Little Phineas has been singing and performing since the early 1960's, and got his start singing acappella doo-wop on the street corners. He continues to perform as both a vocalist and keyboard player.

The 'Doo-Woppin' in Birdland' CD has been favorably reviewed in "Echoes Of The Past" magazine along with 2 French music magazines. Here's part of what 'Echoes Of The Past' has to say.

"This CD is not a pulverizing brand of decibel shattering mayhem, but a well-crafted journey of 24 songs that should be enjoyed over a bottle of Merlot. The lead singer is relaxed and peaceful in fronting the rest of the group. The harmonies are tight and on the money."

So remember, if you dig doo-wop, you're gonna enjoy 'Doo-Woppin' In Birdland'.

Great "Grass Roots" DooWop
author: Dino and Judy
It's great to hear some grass roots DooWop. Before this CD, the sounds on 'Doo Woppin in Birdland' were extremely hard, if not impossible to find. The harmony is smooth; outstanding! The familiar arrangements are amazingly close to the originals. This is one CD we keep handy! Let's hear more from you, Little Phineas.
