Album Notes

This live concert album features freewheeling alto saxophonist Bobby Watson and was recorded at the Los Angeles County Music of Art. The remaining personnel are Don Littleton (drums), Jeff Littleton (bass), Danny Grissett (piano), and Richard Grant (trumpet).

Listeners wil enjoy hearing torrid up tempos and also sublimely soulful slower numbers. The Littleton Brothers featuring Bobby Watson provide spontaneous improvisational-driven jazz at its best.

The Littleton Brothers are Southern California jazz scene veterans who, in addition to Bobby Watson on this album, have appeared or recorded both together and individually with countless instrumental and vocal artists, including Herbie Hancock, Horace Silver, Cannonball Adderley, Stanley Turrentine, Michael Sessions, Tootie Heath, Earl Palmer, Billy Higgins, Horace Tapscott, Harold Land, Jackie McLean, Hank Crawford, Charles McPherson, Pharoah Sanders, Vi Redd, Conte and Pete Candoli, Art Pepper, Buddy Collette, Charles Rouse, Lanny Morgan, Rickey Woodard, Dick Berk, Benn Clatworthy, Scott Martin, Dale Fielder, The Estrada Brothers The Cunninghams, Luminessence, John B.
