Album Notes

This CD will grab you hook, line, and sinker! Live Bait, which is composed of guitarist/vocalist Pete Jonsson, guitarist/vocalist/cheese graterist Gregg Nybo, and bassist/intellectual Dave Hackbarth, has been playing together for more than 20 years. They've reeled in audiences at venues large and small throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
"Acoustic Eclectic", is Live Bait's first CD, and is just what the title implies....a compilation of tunes from many diverse sources and styles. The band is very adept at performing traditional folk, delta-style blues, acoustic rock, old standards, and original tunes with a generous helping of irreverent humor that has been described as "a cross between George Carlin and an irritated hellgrammite".
You'll love this CD. Buy it!!

Acoustic Eclectic is well named. I've seen Live Bait perform at several venues including Cafe Carpe in Ft. Atkinson, WI and On The Waterfront in Rockford, IL. They're fun and talented and provide a high level of musicianship. Buy it!

This is a refreshing slice of acoustic music. It is VERY eclectic and VERY well done. I truly recommend it to anyone who loves the sound of real wood and real vocals without a lot of electronic gizmos.

This was what I needed! They call me MR. MELLOW now! I think the smooth sounds, coupled with subtle and unusual twists discovered in this CD...gave me a new lease on life. Get back to your roots Moonbeam!..this CD will take you there! Well worth it...but I'm feeling guilty again cause I didn't give it 5 stars. Better do some Bait. Mellow Man
