Live From New York is Edie Carey, Teddy Goldstein, Anne Heaton, and Andrew Kerr, who all met in New York City in various fashions sometime between 1995-1999. We have been great friends since then, and we love listening to each other's songs and singing and playing on them as well. As we all tour primarily on our own, the few times a year that we get to tour together have created some of our most inspiring and fun moments onstage.
This album was recorded at Club Passim in Cambridge, Massachusetts on December 27th ad 28th of 2002. We hoped to capture the feel of a live show because it includes musical surprises for us as well as the energy and enthusiasm of you, the audience. Breaking attendance records in clubs and coffeehouses in the U.S. since its inception in 1999, "Live from New York" [LFNY] has quickly emerged as the latest musical sensation on the acoustic scene. It combines the talents of 4 unique New York singer-songwriters in an evening of musical collaboration and off-the-cuff humor. As they take turns leading and accompanying each other, the individual performers share their unique styles and diverse personalities on stage. Fantastic live music

This is a wonderful collection of music for these four fantastic artists. Together, they create an atmosphere where they participate in each others' songs and entertain their audience. It's definitely worth listening to over and over again.

Great CD for a variety of people!!

This is the best cd that I have bought in 2004! I have seen LFNY perform many times, and listening to this cd takes me right back to each performance. Anne, Teddy, Edie and Andrew have so much emotion behind all of their songs which capture their listeners and have a way of reaching different types of people. I recommend it to EVERYONE!!
