Livio Guardi's music is a unique blend of styles, including American Folk, Bluegrass, Old-time, Blues, Celtic, Mediterranean and acoustic Rock‘n Roll. He sings in both English and Italian. An accomplished composer-songwriter, Guardi often alternates instrumentals with songs, trying as much as possible to give a variety of sounds and styles to the listening audience.
The CD “Run Away” is more or less a sampler of his live performances. On it you will hear original music, sung in English and Italian, and instrumentals find their natural place as alternatives to the covers of famous songs. His own versions of traditional tunes are an important part of the overall sound. Variety is the key to his music. He is always striving for different moods and colors, even within the same musical idioms. “Eclectic” would be the term that seems naturally to define him as a musician.
