Liwai is a gifted singer/songwriter who writes from the heart. After performing professionally since 1965, Liwai is now releasing his first album of all original songs, six of which were written by him.
Back up vocalist and instrumentation is done by Thom Pace, who received a "Golden Europa" award in Europe for "Best Song of 1979" for the hit song "Maybe", which sold over one million copies. Liwai and Thom come together to form a unique combination, which delivers a new and refreshing sound to country music.
For the last 35 years, Liwai has been a professional entertainer/singer performing at clubs, Holiday Inn lounges, etc., and doing tour promotions with Hawaii's Vistors Bureau and two major airlines putting on hula shows in major cities across the country for ten years.
In 1974 Liwai wrote and recorded "Spread God's Gospel Out" with Gaither Records of Alexandria, Indiana.
"Memories of Love" includes songs to appeal to listeners with a wide variety of tastes. From a waltz, two-step, fox trot to a rumba, cha cha, or swing - you will find them all on this album.

Unique, Melodic, Inspiring!!

This CD is better than 2/3 of the major-label country music being sold today, and is especially worthy because it infuses traditional country rhythms with a lilting Native Hawaiian sound. There is infectious joy in the voice of Liwai as he sings about his family and home. A score!!

Romantic, Sweet Words of Love, An Invitation to Dance! Exciting and Entertaining

The rhythm and vocal are superb in Treasures of My Heart. It can be directed to a parent, child, lover; or adoration to Jesus. Aunty Come Kiss Uncle is great fun and entertaining. The lyrics and music are exciting. The tribute to Mama in Mama's Sweet Song Lullaby is a tender, beautiful expression of love evoking memories of childhood. Anyone who has been blessed with a loving Mother, will get teary-eyed, expecially if Mama has gone. Kona Sunset has superb melody and easy flowing rhythm. The longing of the heart to return to the island is strong and compelling.
