Album Notes

Neo-clasic rock afficiandos THE LIZARDS have released a new DVD and CD simultaneously. Featuring drummer Bobby Rondinelli (RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT) and vocalist/keyboardist Mike DiMeo (RIOT, MASTERPLAN), along with bassist Randy Pratt (who also plays harp with CACTUS) and guitarist Patrick Klein, THE LIZARDS have released four critically aclaimed albums and two live DVDs in the past four years.

THE LIZARDS\' new live DVD, entitled \"4.2.11\", features the band in top performance at various locations and is peppered throughout with new interviews. \"The gig at B.B. King\'s was us opening for CACTUS,\" explains band bassist Randy Pratt. \"The Farmingdale, NY gig, we were opening for ZEBRA. The German gig, we were on tour with UFO, and Sweden Rock was Sweden Rock. We were well seasoned and fired-up at these gigs. There are songs from all our CDs on the DVD, including some rarely played live.\"

Not as good as it should be

Hi everybody and greetings from Germany! The new DVD seems a little bit underproduced: the quality of sound and picture could be far better... But who cares!? There are very good musicians and an exciting setlist so you will become a real fan of the band while listening and watching this DVD. So I don´t mind the poor sound and picture qualitiy... and I hope to get a 5 star production in the near future. And most of all: I want to see you alive and kicking somewhere in Europe - SOON! alfred

the masters of funky, groovy rock

The Lizards never fail to impress, and the performances on this DVD are no exception. Probably more polished talent, chops and groove in this one band than any other tens bands you can name. It's great to see this band play on a DVD - they're fun to watch as well as listen to on their various cds. For fans of Bobby Rondinelli, who has become my all-time favorite drummer courtesy of The Lizards, you get two drum solos to enjoy. I could watch Bobby play for hours. Fascinating, powerful, stunning. The Lizards are arguably the best band in the world still playing real rock'n'roll. If you cannot outplay them, you must Hail The Lizards! P.S. You have no good reason not to buy their two other DVDs, available here on cdbaby.
