notes
Since forming the Liz Berg Band in 1997, Liz Berg has performed hundreds of shows between Los Angeles and Chicago and has gained a reputation for being one of the most diverse and experienced young women on the music scene today. In July of 2003, Berg released her debut CD, Not the Same, which showcased Berg's versatility as a songwriter and a musician. Berg not only wrote and produced every song on the CD, but also played the majority of the instruments herself. Berg's lyrics can be described as "poetic" and thought-provoking" and stands out amongst her peers for her musicianship.
Berg incorporates rock, blues, and soul in her hard-hitting voice which is augmented by her band. The versatility of the band allows for many different textures and styles that go beyond typical rock-n-roll and that prove to be very crowd-pleasing. Throughout the years Berg has even evoked comparisons to a variety of singers such as Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge, and Sarah McLachlan. The Liz Berg band thanks you for your interest and support!

author: Sara OrrThis artist brings a refreshing change to the world of pop music. Her lyrics exhibit a depth which is surprising and very rare nowadays. The songs are thought-provoking and yet remarkably easy to dance to. I have a feeling Liz Berg will be around for a very long time.
