Album Notes

At the age of 19, Liz Clark is one of Denver's most exciting new singer-songwriters.

Performing for over five years in venues ranging from coffee shops to prominent concert halls throughout Colorado, this young and restless artist is slowly, but surely, making her mark. She is a dynamic solo entertainer, utilizing her acoustic guitar and brilliant piano style, who more regularly performs with a bass player and a drummer as The Liz Clark Band.

Her strength and popularity as a solo artist, earned her a chance to perform at the historic Rialto Theater in Loveland, Colorado where she opened for Woodstock folk-rock legend Richie Havens. She also caught the attention of hundreds who attended a Joe Walsh concert, when she and her band opened for him at the historic Paramount Theatre in Denver. The response to her performances, both solo, and with her band, have been fantastic.

Liz offers a distinctly rich and intriguing sound. Her clever and poetic songwriting is refreshing, her singing style charismatic. Reminiscent of thoughtful artists like early Joni Mitchell and Jackson Browne, or current notables like Jewel and Tori Amos, Liz' original music is dynamic, compelling and timely.

Liz is a Colorado native, a lifetime music lover and definitely serious about her art. Inspired by the music of The Beatles, and the passion and strength of Ani DiFranco, Liz considers her life as a singer-songwriter to be a dream now realized. Her destiny to become a successful artist has never been more obvious.

In an effort to build her fan base, Liz has played at top Colorado venues including at The Gothic Theater, The Soiled Dove, Herman's Hideaway, The Bluebird Theater, The Little Bear (Evergreen), The Aggie Theater (Fort Collins), the 1998, 1999, and 2001 Capitol Hill People's Fair, The Swallow Hill Folkathon, and the 2001 Cherry Creek Arts Festival.

Whether performing with her band or solo, Liz Clark is ready for more. She has original material for two hour sets, and has proven to be a strong supporting act for many national artists that pass through Colorado.
