L.J.'s first recording...originally released on cassette only. Released, by popular demand, on CD in '96.
Songs from this recording have been rerecorded by artists as diverse as Anne Hills, Chuck Pyle, and Carrie Newcomer.
Two years later, L.J. was a New Folk winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival...invited back for opening night of the following festival, where festival producer Rod Kennedy called him "the surprise hit of our opening night".

It's like revisiting an old friend!
author: Chris HuntWe bought the cassette of LJ Booth's YARNS after seeing him at the Calgary Folk Festival in 1990 - my wife was pregnant at the time, but we've long since lost it. We especially loved Martha's Song, and with Mother's Day coming up (and a 14 year old son and an 11 year old daughter), I thought this would be a great gift.
"Yarns" is full of both humour and nostalgia.
