Album Notes

L.J.'s first recording...originally released on cassette only. Released, by popular demand, on CD in '96.

Songs from this recording have been rerecorded by artists as diverse as Anne Hills, Chuck Pyle, and Carrie Newcomer.

Two years later, L.J. was a New Folk winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival...invited back for opening night of the following festival, where festival producer Rod Kennedy called him "the surprise hit of our opening night".

"Yarns" is full of both humour and nostalgia.
author: A. Swabey
I wore my original cassette version of this album out! Booth is an incredible yarnspinner and a talented folk musician. Hearing this album gives the listener the sense that a master storyteller has just settled in for a spell. "Yarns" is full of both humour and nostalgia, it will bring tears to your eyes. Pull up your chair and listen to the stories Booth has to tell, you'll be glad you did.
