Linda has desired to sing much of her life. Inspired by such artist as Aretha Franklin, Al Green, and Shirley Ceasar to name a few. She was born in Dothan, Alabama and is the third of ten children. She is the mother of one biological daughter, but can claim motherhood of several others. She now resides in Bridgeport, Connecticut where she ministers the word of God,preaching and singing throughout the tri-state area. She is an ordained Minister of the The Kings Temple, and the former President and founder of the Greater Bridgeport Transit Employees Aids Foundation. Linda believes that the Lord is trusting her to deliver the word and she believes in staying close to her roots, holding on to faith that can bring great things. A mission from God that he allowed her to accomplish, to sing and touch people far beyond her scope.
Her newest CD, "Man-O-Man" is a testimony to men and women that there are no limits to what God can do. Believing that she was being lead by the Spirit of God, she moved forward and began recording this her second CD. With songs such as, "I feel a Change", "Amazing Grace", and "Nobody Loves Me But God", it is no surprise, Linda Johnson-King has touched the hearts of many. The title song, "Man-O-Man" is a ballad that rings deep within the soul and expressed gratitude to the Lord for the gift of salvation. These songs of "Good News" are spirit-filled and anointed to carry the Gospel to all those who would dare to listen.
