Album Notes

LMNOP® (www.LMNOP.com) is the one man band/project which was formed in 1982 in Atlanta, Georgia. The project originally involved putting on live shows and producing home recorded cassettes that were sold by mail order. In addition to recording music, it wasn’t long before LMNOP also began creating and distributing comic books which eventually evolved into babysue® magazines and a web site (www.babysue.com).

Over the course of the next few years the band began releasing vinyl records and CDs. The band has thus far released ten full-length albums, three of which were also released on the New Rose label in France.

LMNOP has shared the stage with a variety of artists including The Fleshtones, Game Theory, GAM, Ru Paul, The Three Dimensional Blackboard, Glenn Branca, and Chris Stamey.

The band’s songs have also appeared on a variety of various artists compilations that have been released in the United States, Sweden, France, Germany, and Spain.

Oddly, LMNOP is probably best known as the creator of the Missing Dog Head Poster, a prank that pleads for the return of a severed poodle’s head (You finding Ling-Ling’s head? Someone come into yard, kill dog, cut off head of dog. Ling-Ling very good dog. Very much want head return.).
