Album Notes

Our second CD, \"Bluegrass & Beyond\" has been a while in the making. Our last one, \"Midnight Airwaves\", came out back in 2002. This new one features (mostly) our current band, and has minimal double tracking, so you get a live feel to it.
Lots of great, fun covers that our audiences always request. And a couple written by our main lead vocalist and upright bass player, Diane Kordas. One, \"The old Man of the Mountain\", is not about some hermit hold up in the hills. Rather it is about the symbol of our home state, New Hampshire. The Old Man of the Mountain, or Great Rock Face, was a unique geological rock formation up in our White Mountains, located high up on the side of a mountain. When viewed at a certain angle, it looked just like an old man\'s profile. For years it had been amazingly maintained by holding it together with cables, bolts, & epoxy (it was really big!) One night it fell down the mountainside, falling prey to the inevitable laws of nature we are all subject to.
Diane\'s other song, \"All I Really Want\", is about the opposite end of the spectrum. A sultry, salsa kind of song about non-committal love. A favorite dance number in our concerts, so we put in plenty of solos to keep it going.
All this, done acoustically; on guitar, fiddle, banjo, Dobro (lap slide guitar), & upright bass. Lot\'s o fun.
