LOBE - like the ear lobe or more importantly - like the frontal lobe - the part of the brain that gives you complex thought, spatial reasoning and the ability to make emotional connections with other people. This is exactly what LOBE does - and we do it to death each and every night. With musical goals of setting people free, getting them to dance and taking live improvised music to places it has never been - LOBE takes to the stage and changes the very elements in the room causing a stream of conscious sound barrage that makes the entire room bounce in rhythm. The foundation is laid down by the Jersey Devil (bass) and the Irish Car Bomb (drums) whose greasy hip-hop syncopations form the ocean for the rest of the fleet to sail on. It is the avant-garde funk styling of Dr. Brown (guitar) that takes the audience to a higher place. Mr. Schwillie sonically melts barriers with his synthesized sax and auditory manipulations. DJ Soe offers up the best of his "fresh produce" as his turntables spin circles around negative vibes. And the raw melodies are forced out into the night by Philly Joe (acoustic sax) as he rides the breeze of the high seas. But that is not all LOBE is.

When put together on a stage, there is nothing that this band cannot do as they bring their eclectic muses together to make a perfect music that is part improvised, part rock, part hip-hop, part madness, part techno, part bliss and always 100% pure energy!!!
LOBE is preparing for the release of a little record entilted, "Smile.....and burrow deep": a live recording captured at a party held in honor of die hard fans. It should be ready to be shipped to you by mid-June. Holla at us and reserve your copy now!!! There will only be a limited amount pressed so that their future value will be through the roof!!! The band will be playing a 4th of July celebration "On the Patio" at Flagstaff Brewing Company (in Flagstaff, AZ baby!) which will also be the official record release party. Come on out and celebrate Freedom with LOBE!!! This date comes on the heals of the highly anticipated union of the Greenhouse Fresh Produce crew and LOBE as they perform together in Telluride, Colorado during the Bluegrass Festival. We're talking an orchestra of modern sounds with 11 people on one stage. Hot!! Speaking of other states and blowing up, there also has been some hype about the band in the Seattle region (it's spreading) so be on the look out for some upcoming dates up there
