Highlands and Islands vol one: Loch Shiel
Miraculous is based in the Scottish Highlands, known the world over for its unique and diverse history and culture. This rich background has yielded a 21st Century generation of musicians who are not only at the peak of their profession, but have a true sense of belonging. The "Highlands and Islands" series of radio programmes and CD's has been created to celebrate these musicians and singers, the people who surround them, the stories they've grown up with and the land that defines them.
The debut album "Vol. 1 - Loch Shiel", starts the series at the hidden heart of the West Coast - a veritable hotbed of music, song, and of course, great craic. Join the MacFarlane family, Jim Michie and his boat - the Sileas, some of the area's great musicians and other friends for an unforgettable journey.
47 minutes of glorious music and 20 minutes of stories and good craic plus enhanced CD features with extra audio, visuals and web links. Featuring music from Cliar, Iain MacDonald & Iain MacFarlane, Daimh, Hoogie, Jim Hunter, and Margaret MacLellan & Blazin Fiddles.

Great CD! Brought back some wonderful memories.

This is a wonderful CD, which captures the spirit of Glenfinnan and Loch Shiel perfectly. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Glenfinnan House Hotel and went on a Loch Shiel excursion aboard the Sileas, both subjects of this marvelous musical compilation.
If you are interested in experiencing the Western Highlands of Scotland via the music and personalities of that picturesque locale, THIS is the CD for you.

Wonderful. Excellent production.

A very good CD. Good sound. Good variety. I liked the naration along with the music. I had a much better feel about Loch Shiel than I would have had with just the music. I'm ready for Vol 2.
