Rachel Lockett has been writing and performing her own compositions since she first taught herself to play the piano at age twelve.
She is an accomplished guitarist, keyboard player, and vocalist.
She has performed throughout Idaho and surrounding states as a solo artist, as a guest vocalist with the Boise duo Tauge and Faulkner, and in many club bands.
In 1991, Rachel recorded Visions, her first CD, comprised of all original compositions.
Visions was released on Taurus Records, a record label started by Rachel.
She also performed backup vocals on Boise artist Eric Savage¹s album, Fantasy Lover.
While living in Boise, Rachel started her own business, Songbird, which marketed unique music and lyrics written for individuals and special occasions.
Rachel returned to Pocatello in 1991 to join a professional, touring Top 40 band and has opened up for several national artists such as Kansas, Leon Russell, April Wine, Norton Buffalo, Foghat, Dio, Highway 101, Dan Seals, Eric Burton, Ozark Mountain Daredevils and REO Speedwagon.
She was lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the band Rockin¹ Horse until the formation of The Reputations, an all-female band, wherein Rachel was featured on lead guitar and vocals.
Rachel¹s second CD, Let Go was released in 1998.
This CD was produced by Bart Hendrickson, currently a composer for Hans Zimmer in Los Angelos, California.
Since the release of her second CD, Rachel has worked for hire on several local CD projects, opened for the Bellamy Brothers and Confederate Railroad in resort town, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and continues to prepare for her next CD, Three's A Charm.
