Album Notes

Born in New Jersey, Logan Belle has been playing guitar since the age of 13. After relocating to Orlando, Florida, Logan began carving out a niche for himself in the local music community. His first band, Angel of the Odd, garnered critical accolades from all over the southeast which resulted in signing a deal with Saturn Records.

After releasing two successful albums with Angel of the Odd (the self titled debut and Timid Soul), Logan left the group to pursue a solo career. Since then he has toured extensively and released 3 solo albums (Songs from the Everville, What Kind of Show…? , and Road), 1 collaborative effort (Taste this Future w/ Antares) and 1 album with his band Logan’s Run (Fading Stations). Logan has worked and toured with several national acts including A Flock of Seagulls and Wang Chung in addition to opening for such artists as War, Mickey Thomas’ Starship and Edwin McCain.

With insightful lyrics, infectious melodies and a powerfully dynamic stage persona, Logan continues to win over new fans with his highly original musical style. His solo releases have won the praise of critics and music lovers alike.

Logan continues to perform and record his original music. He has won the distinct honor of 2001 Songwriter of the Year from Songwriters Showcase of America, as well as being nominated as Best Male Soloist in the Regional People’s Music Awards.

engaging singer/songwriter music

I have other cds by Logan Belle, and this, I believe, is his latest one. His singing is great, and his songs are earnest and straightforward. Personally I think the cd should have started with The Mystery, and through the magic of my ipod, that can be arranged. These songs re-recorded in a more rock format would make a great companion piece to this disc. In short, it's a good 'un.

Certain to never stagnate in the midst of your music collection!

'Candletime' is so much more than your typical 'guy-with-guitar' music of today. The complexity of the album lends itself to keep up with modern musical stylings and yet reminds the listener of the beauty that can be achieved simply with vocals and an acoustic guitar without all the overproduction seen as of late in this industry. Truly an expression of art, where Logan's heart and message are forthright yet the listener can still take away from it something personal. No song sounds alike showcasing the extent of Logan's songwriting talent and musical ability. The album still maintains continuity amongst the very distinct tracks without sounding disjunct by any means. An album such as this with warm musicality is certain to never stagnate in the midst of your music collection. Enjoy!
