Album Notes

Lolly Cross, trained on Flute as a child, became fascinated with the simple Penny Whistle and the fun of playing it.

She has been a member of Around the Hearth Celtic music group and Reel-On-The-Ha-Penny Band, and now has released her first solo album, The Penny Whistler.

She plays simple traditional Celtic tunes but for the
American ear. Her playing is light and airy without heavy accompaniments.

The tunes are sweet and gentle, with Whistles, Alto Recorder and light percussion, and a few surprising sounds for your enjoyment. Karina Kruth guest stars on Violin and
Low D Whistle.

She dedicates this ablum to her granddaughter and to grandparents, parents and their children everywhere.
