Once upon a time in the early '00's, Miss Pop teamed up with The Busy Signals to create an Electroclash act called TELEPHONE! While appearing on the TC Electropunk compilation series (Volume 1- May '04; Volume 2- March '05), and at the advent of their *69 EP, TELEPHONE! received college radio play and toured the United States.

Toward the end of '04, Pop was discovered by two of her childhood heroes- Dr. Fink (Prince & Revolution) and Monte Moir (The Time). Shortly after- while running a late night search for the KLF- Pop collided with U.K. producer John Matthews (Daz Sampson, The Attery Squash) and the four set out to make the adventurous nu-electro album LOLLY POP.
