Album Notes

For years Loner Douglas has traveled paths in all parts of rural Alaska, from the tip of southeast to the arctic, from Bering Sea Islands to the road system communities, and from set net fishing dories, to remote oilfield modules. Still, the roots learning of musical styles starting at The Old Town School of Folk Music and touching bases at the Chicago Conservatory of Music is evident. His music and writing reflects a wide range of these and other personal experiences, and yields a result that variously runs the range from timeless to topical.
