Album Notes

After the release of the debut album by Reverie, a number of people asked Chris to do a solo project. Forever Roads is it.

The styles are wide ranging from the uncomplicated beauty of the title track to heavier instrumental mixes... all centered around 1-4 acoustic guitars.

You might compare him to Michael Hedges.

The duplicator snagged a copy for his own library and wouldn't stop talking about how good it was.

"A terrific album of various moods, brainwaves and acoustic guitar delights. We're talking unplugged. 14 songs from half the duo Reverie, Chris gives us a bit of everything here." - Ben Ohmart @NZone Magazine (http://www.atnzone.com)

Romantic, flowing, airy. These are a few of the adjectives that describe the guitar playing of Chris Lonsberry. Hailing from New England, this former Reverie duo member has gone solo in a grand style with the release of Forever Roads. Not sticking to straight folk or classical styles, Chris weaves some Celtic grooves into "Molly's Return". Chris really shows off his chops in "A Little Boy's World". This song reminds me of the gentlest Zeppelin, when Jimmy Paige was at his finger-pickin' best. The songs roll around and play enough that they do not require lyrical interference. The album also contains hints as to Chris' other talents, including keyboard. Overall the album is both fancy free and dead serious, evoking just about every emotion, from elation to introspection. Amongst a lot of serious guitar playing, there are also spurts of super creativity. This one is for anyone who enjoys acoustic guitar and mellow relaxing music.
