OBEY YOUR SIGNAL

I attended a free concert of Loop!Station at the DeYoung museum in San Francisco in June of 2008. I bought the Balance on What CD on the spot and a friend gave me the other two CDs. I ordered this one again to send to my sister as a souvenir present from San Francisco because I was sure she would love it.
I play these three albums all the time in my car as drive around in this hot and humid midwest summer and dream I am back in San Francisco.

I’m laughing at life

Saw these two an Bubmershoot in Seattle. Was really amazing. At first because I really like pedals and loops stations, but I got into their sound quickly. Also Robin is very sexy dancing around on them. Something about a woman and pedals... Sam the cello player keeps this meditative cool like some kind of Zen Cellist. What is with the Gold Leaf? I t looks cool. Couldn’t deal with climbing over people to get a CD, but remembered Loop!Station. Got their CD’s via download, and never get tired of rocking out. Robin sings lines that speak to the soul like one of those classical music movements that breaks your heart from a few hundred years ago, as if written just for you. You spill your wine listening to her voice and say F*****ck! She sings, “I’m laughing at life, watching love pass me by” in one song and your there on the rainy SF street watching some lucky guy she knew and loved walk by. Sweeter is a must, because everyone one should know The Now isn’t about a boring Mr. Tolle, it is about the Aquarius sound of Loop!Station. Get their CDs, see them live if you can, or you will miss something of value that came to you because you were ready, and got lucky. Listen with wine and people of spirit, and know there may be hope for the world in real art.
Surrounded: After the last song ends wait a few seconds and there is about 10 minutes of Robin Coomer “SoloGroovingFreestyle” Very stylish Anti-Rules in tonal creation. A story without words, just the “sound” of voice and breath.

Not many people can do this.... wait no one does. This duo that sounds like a quintuplet rocks the sonic airwaves. Buy this CD pop it in on the lost highway, and see what happens. And if you get the chance, see them live, so you can be the one saying... I saw them at 12galaxies way before they were... and then you will understand the skill to make loops that happen live. The key is live... they do not use a PC or pre-recorded loops. The CD is only a replication of what they actually do LIVE. This album, hand built at the original Hyde Street Studios, is a quality recording of serious resonance that grabs hold of your soul, as if riding a twister through a snow drift, with Siren's reciting pure poetry! Sam Bass and Robin Coomer are virtuosi. Incredible!

The one CD I purchased was signed by both Robin and ??chellist, after their private show at the black box over 3 yrs ago. Unfortunatly, I never got it back after that night. PHENOMONAL LIVE!! See you at the DNA on the 16th. If Loop Station is half as good as they were 3 yrs ago, It will be worth any admission asked.
