notes
Two brothers recorded their own songs that their families and neighbors had enjoyed forever. On the Loose Caboose they loaded pianos, guitars, trumpets, bodhran and doumbek drums, didgeridoos, and lots of voices.
On board, you'll hear songs about your child's smile, the first kindergarten friend, Halloween costumes, and grandma's kitchen. The conductor offers a selection of styles - pop, rock, reggae, and dixieland.
As the Loose Caboose pulls into the station, you'll run to buy a return ticket to dance and laugh again soon.

Catchy melodies should have both kids and parents smiling
author: Notre Dame MagazineThe Carey brothers are real-estate managers by day but like to rock and roll and sing and dance, too. With the pianos, guitars, trumpets, bodhran and doumbek drums and didgeridoos of the Rootin' Tootin' Loose Caboose Band, they put together a CD of their original songs for kids. Their catchy melodies should have both kids and parents smiling.
Not just for kids' enjoyment
author: Edward CohenThis CD has several silly songs about animals and toothbrushes, and those will appeal mainly to preschoolers. But there are also at least six that are simply good tunes, which you'll find yourself humming or singing, if only in private. My favorites are Hey, Hey, Little Renia, Best Smile in the World, Celebrate with Danny, Engineer Will and My Little Train and two quieter, more poignant compositions, You're His Mother and Still This Will. Both of those are definitely aimed more at parents than kids, in the vein of Harry Chapin's Cats in the Cradle and Cat Steven's Father and Son.
Thank you for the cd. I love it!
author: Ethan, Alex and Anna Chen CampbellThank you for the cd! I love it! I love "Toothbrush Train" and "Big Boy."
The cd is amazing. My kids love it!
author: Dr. Alice ChenThe cd is amazing. My kids love it! My kids listen to a lot of folksy stuff like Arlo & Woody Guthrie, as well as Raffi. My oldest child is a "train-guy" and he just loves it. He was going through your words and everything...my daughter was dancing...they want to hear it on the way to school...It's quite an accomplishment...I'll treasure it!
