Album Notes

Unreleased Lord Buckley from "The Tales of Lord Buckley."

BGM Recordings brings you this new and exciting never released monologue "Jet Ride". The title track for this new CD "Jet Ride" was originally an article in a beat magazine called "Dig" published in the late 1950s for teenagers only, fads and fashion. Lord Buckley was the professor of hipology and author of the hip dictionary. If you can find a copy, you will read stories of hot chicks, cool hot rods, international teenage news, pictures of Elvis Presley, Jean Vincent, Little Richard, James Dean and Sal Mineo; along with ads from hip records, Lord Buckley's label.

So dig and double dig this classic in a 50's "Jet Ride" with Lord Buckley. Editor's note from "Dig" magazine: Lord Buckley goofs it up some, so I thought I should jump in here and hip you that the following is true. He actually took a panic ride in a two-seater jet plane. Here is what happened when the Lord somehow conned the air force into letting him make like a "space head."

Later,

Crown Prince Richard

Wow---His Supreme Hipness, in the back seat of a T-33 at the depths of the Cold War. I'm boggled by that fact alone. But the CD SWINGS, Man, utterly and totally! A GASSER!
