Album Notes

Keep your eyes on this singer/songwriter. "Fighting Gravity" is a noteworthy debut album from an artist whose musical chops on vocals, violin, and piano are matched only by the consistently high quality of the songwriting on this engaging debut. Here's an artist who writes melodic, introspective pop/rock which manages to sound both radio-ready and intimate at the same time. Great stuff!

The songs tell me so much about this artist. There is a willingness to expose the truth of her pain. Her voice has a flexibility that allows her to growl out "No Rain" or whisper "Fine Day". I have had my share of personal tragedy and the lyrics of "Fine Day" speaks for me. "The Walking Song" has such an uplifting message and the melody is still in my head. This album is wonderful and doesn't play like a first effort...extremely well produced. I can't wait to hear what she does next.
