Album Notes

On her second album, Under A Blanket of Blue, Loretta Cormier shows she is a sophisticated interpreter of classics from the American Songbook. She also includes two songs by Ed Greenebaum, a current day composer. One can say that "The Quiet Side" and "Someone Just Like You" are on their way to becoming standards. Loretta has a natural, down-to-earth style. She swings with ease and melts your heart on romantic ballads.

She has a unique delivery, and her voice stands apart. Loretta is ably accompanied by Andrew Langham on piano. He is currently Musical Director for Ray Price. Completing the musical picture are bassist Brandon Rivas, who has performed extensively in the US and Europe, and Gerry Gibbs, drummer, whose outstanding resume includes performances in Europe, New York City, and Los Angeles.

A most enjoyable CD!
