Born in one of the first suburbs, Levittown, PA, Loretta Allen has gone to extremes to be anything but "typically
suburban." On the advice of a friend in the industy, Loretta took to the road with a beat-up old Ovation and a Jetta. She played at gas stations, earning her daily bread and gas money to the next town.
In California she realized she'd found her second home; not in L.A. (like one would figure), but in the beautiful landscape of the Pacific Northwest. The Redwood forest and the roaring ocean inspired song after song. Now, Loretta has returned to her roots in the Philadelphia area and can be seen and heard from Center City's Tin Angel, to her favorite haunts in Levittown.
Her sound is smooth, full and melodic with heavy influences from folk music and good ol' rock n roll. Audiences keep coming back for her heart-felt story telling songs and lively performances.
