Lori Presthus performs extensively in the Pacific Northwest playing in many venues including opera, ballet, musical theater and numerous chamber groups. She is a long time member of the Portland Baroque Orchestra and the East-West Continuo. Her cello performances have taken her from the Danube Music Festival in Austria to the Anchorage Music Festival in Alaska.
She is frequently asked to participate in recording projects including classical, folk, sacred and contemporary improvisational works. She has participated in orchestral accompaniment of live stage performances with Pavarotti, Natalie Cole and the Moody Blues. She is known for her rich, vibrant tone and expressive sound.
This cd was recorded over a two day period on July 2-3, 2005 in Portland, Oregon. It is presented with very little editing, allowing for the effect of a live performance.
