Sparky! Records is proud to present Lori Schneider's solo release "Legend: A Knight's Opera". Three (3) years in the making, this CD is a conceptual rock opera blending her many influences of progressive rock, classical, folk, medieval, and pop music. Featuring Joe Cesare on bass guitar, Anthony Zammit on electric guitar and Toro Gianchino on drums, this production embodies the constant struggle between good and evil. With medieval overtones, it portrays the life of a 1400's noble French warrior name Treseblu battling against the forces of Cordahan, dark lord and ruler of Spain. Inspired by a dream, Lori Schneider has brought these characters to life within this soulful and magical composition.

Lori Schneider discovered her love of music at the age of 8 years old and began developing her vocal style in an array of rock, jazz, blues and big bands. She brought her talents to the stage by the age of 12 and performed in many prestigious nightclubs within the NYC and tri-state area. As the founding member of Crystal Rose, a pop/folk female duo, she developed her strong songwriting abilities as well as instrumental proficiency on guitar, flute and piano. Crystal Rose performed for 10 years, released two albums, and was a finalist in the Lilith Fair competition. During her tenure with Crystal Rose, Lori Schneider began incorporating her classical training on piano and brought her pop/folk influences into the realm of composing with a strong progressive edge. Her lyrics are deep and emotional, the music is rich and complex, yet it retains the pureness of her roots. Her vocal style blends the depth of Tori Amos, the power of Amy Lee, and the enchanting, ethereal qualities of Enya.

When not writing and performing, Lori teaches music full time and holds degrees in business administration and psychology, graduating with valedictorian honors. She enjoys working with children and keeping the magic of music alive!
