Album Notes

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Lorraine's first influence was Ella Fitzgerald. She began her singing career with the Art Hallman Orchestra and for several years, her home was Montreal, where she performed regulary in major jazz and supper clubs and hotels. Lorraine has performed across Canada, in Ireland and on National Radio and Television.

In 1991 Lorraine settled in Vancouver, joining the legendary Dal Richards Orchestra as his leading vocalist for more than a decade. Returning to her first love, she appeared at the Du Maurier and TD International Jazz Festivals in Toronto, Saskatoon and Vancouver. Her live performances are filled with depth, passion and versatility and she sings straight from the heart.

In 2005, Lorraine created a one-woman show, "Remembering Rosie", a tribute to Rosemary Clooney, where she sings a duet with her daughter, Kathleen Kelly Driscoll.
